Direct streaming to Android devices* is one of the latest advancements in hearing aid connectivity and therefore, it is available in select smartphone models with the required technology. Please check with your service carrier before purchasing a new smartphone to ensure that they have also enabled the service.
*Full streaming compatibility with Android devices requires minimum Android v10 and Bluetooth 5.0 and that functionality has been enabled by the phone manufacturer and service carrier. Accordingly, the compatibility information provided should be used for reference only. Although Interton strives to achieve seamless device compatibilities, Interton cannot guarantee full compatibility with all Android devices.

Connectivity challenges with Android 12
Following the recent Android 12 update, we have been made aware that several end-users experience issues with streaming and reconnecting their hearing aids, specifically with one of the hearing instruments disconnecting and not being able to reconnect.
The connection challenges are not related to hearing aids or end-user app, but rather to the connectivity protocol between the smartphones and the hearing aids provided by Android.
We have assigned a team of engineers to investigate and resolve this issue in parallel with the Android providers to ensure that your clients once again can enjoy a seamless streaming experience with their hearing aids.
At this point, we can only preventively recommend not to update the smartphone to Android 12.
As soon as a resolution or a workaround has been identified, we will inform on this page
